Stefan Robev

Stefan Kirov Robev was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1931. He is a retired professor of organic chemistry, having taught for many years at the Department of Pharmacology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He holds higher doctorates in both organic chemistry and biology; the Robev amidine rearrangement is named for him.

Robev has published over a hundred articles, multiple essays, and several books on scientific topics. In addition to his professional writings, he has composed hundreds of literary pieces, ranging from poetry to prose to translations. Though never formally published, these works have been collected here.

Robev has two grown daughters, a mathematician and a chemist. He currently resides in Charlottesville, Virginia.
